Dr. Roosbelinda Cárdenas González presents her book "Raising Two Fists" to the John Jay College Community. This ethnography examines Afro-Colombian political mobilization following the multicultural movement that took place in Latin America in the 1990s. During this period, states started to recognize and legally protect the rights of Afro-descendants.
