I was invited on a charter trip by friends near Morehead City, out of Beaufort Inlet, with Cape N It Reel charters. We bottom fished and caught Trigger fish and Grunts. Trigger fish are delicious. While we were bottom fishing we freelined a squid strip on a treble hook with no weight behind the boat and hooked some nice Mahi/dorado. The captain's information is below.
