Since Roman times the region around the village of Sapareva Banya is renown for its many mineral water springs. Even the Romans build a settlement with baths here.

Today the village became a SPA and balneological center with many hotels and plenty of open air pools with hot mineral water where you can take a swim even in the winter, watching the snowflakes fall all around you.
