Born in Venezuela, he immigrated to the United States at 11 months old after undergoing life-saving surgery, developing his passion for directing over the next 26 years while still undocumented.

After breaking out as the film partner of then-unknown multi-platinum artist Russ, Edgar went on to found Blank Square Productions, which has produced multi-billion view music videos for artists like Ice Spice, Keke Palmer, Chris Brown, and Alicia Keys.
