Mosaic tiles keep getting thinner & thinner π
Its virtually impossible to set some of these accents evenly with other tiles
Here are 3 ways to go about it:
1. Use a 1/4" backer board π This is my personal favorite, it's easy to cut & set with such a ridged backing. It is especially helpful with very thin mosaic tile like these:

2. Use Schluter Kerdi Membrane π₯ This is the thinnest application to set tiles on. Very helpful with 1/4" thick mosaics

3. Use a strip of an uncoupling mat π If you use ditra or similar mats for your tile floors, you usually have plenty left over for this
