One time when I returned home(dharan), I saw her wearing glasses, more wrinkles, depending on medicines, grey hair. Seriously guys, parents gets old with the blink of an eye.

Not exaggerating but I hadn’t heard her giggles and laughter for the longest time. Ever since the childhood I wanted my mother to see the world, to let her try the cuisines all over the world, take pictures, videos everything that one individual deserves, to live free at times from responsibilities and live for oneself.

I was thinking of taking her to some south Asian countries keeping convenience into consideration. I asked her where does she want to go, mountains or oceans? Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and she was like, ‘malai ghat liyera jau’. And that’s how Haridwār came into the picture after knowing the fact that Varanasi was too hot in June.

And then kedarnath and badrinath and why not whole Chardham. This whole temple run wasn’t easy. It can be very exhausting, scary and difficult.

Bangkok gayo bhane shopping garnu sakdaina bhanera I asked my mother to walk 10,000 steps everyday starting from 5, also cutting off calories. It has been two years that she has been walking around 8-10 k steps everyday and also lost 10 kgs. She was very much adamant about not using horses or mules to walk to those places. She walked all the way through till the end.

We visited Haridwār, Rishikesh, yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, Badrinath, Delhi, Mathura, Vrindavan and Agra(Taj Mahal), all in one go. Couldn’t be any prouder and happier. The perfect beginning I’d ask for my mother’s self journey.
