Highlights from the BBC4 documentary, The Remarkable Miss North presented by actress Emilia Fox.

Retracing Marianne's footsteps and her passion for the natural world, the documentary reveals the unknown story of an intrepid female explorer and one of the most prolific botanical artists of the Victorian age.

The Marianne North Gallery at Kew Gardens was designed and decorated by Miss North herself, and houses almost all of her botanical paintings from around the world.
