hihihi everybody, i hope you all are having a really wonderful week. i know statistically its probably unlikely that we all are having a great week so if you're struggling this week, i really hope you find some moments of peace for yourself and i hope the weight lifts soon. i'm upstate!!! and its so beautiful here. i brought my instruments to a really special little (airbnb) cabin and its been everything getting to record music in nature. i also definitely needed a bit of time alone. the vast "interconnectedness of everything" can be equally incredible as it is overwhelming for me lol. when im in the city for a long time, its easy to start perceiving these connections as all person to person relationships. i went on a little hike when i first got here and ended up laying in some grass by a river in a little forest (felt like a miyazaki movie, there was even a blue heron) and being so far away from people, the sense of life from all the nature around me became so expansive. the fish in the stream, the birds, the mushrooms, the squishy moss. i really didn't feel alone at all. i love people so so much, but it feels good to remember we aren't the only ones out here in this world.

lalalala longer post cause also, i had to drive back down to brooklyn last night to shoot a music video for my song that comes out on friday!!!! (follow my spotify if you want its a really great song i promise). we were supposed to shoot sunday but it got rained out, tuesday was the only other day that would work. at first i was a little bummed that i was gonna make a big trip back into the city when im only up here for a few days, but honestly i keep just trying to trust the universe and remember "the problem is the path!!!." the shoot ended up being so incredibly fun and i think its gonna be such a dope video. the footage came out so so well, im editing it so its really all on me now lol. im back up in the woods, its a cool crisp day somehow in august. i still feel like im making/writing every one of these videos for the first time when i do it. thanks for spending time here, thanks for being a part of this beautiful little community. sending lots and lots of love :)
