Comprehensible input is language input that can be understood by listeners despite them not understanding all the words and structures in it.
TPRS lessons use a mixture of reading and storytelling to help students learn a foreign language.

💁‍♂️ ABOUT ME ______
I'm a Brazilian Portuguese native speaker who was born and raised in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, in the very south of Brazil. I hold a Cambridge certificate called CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and also I'm a certified teacher in Letras Português & Inglês.
I love teaching.
I love learning.
I love languages.
Becoming an online teacher on italki has changed me as a teacher and as a person.
Right now, I'm teaching myself Russian and Mandarin Chinese. Walking in my students' shoes has been the most valuable experience for me as a teacher because I became more aware of how to approach certain aspects of both the teaching and the learning sides of my own classes.
Being a student makes ME search for and try different things, apps, and methods. Exploring and getting exposed to the same kinds of materials my students are probably looking for in the languages I'm learning allows me to recommend things that I have actually tried myself. This channel is the result of that. A channel I would like to find if I were teaching myself Brazilian Portuguese.
