We spent five fabulous days in Victoria, Vancouver Island, British Columbia Canada.

This video covers the a great day trip to The Butchart Gardens. Its a 1 hr bus ride each way from Victoria. Tickets cost CAD $41.50 per person. It is huge, covering 55 acres with over 900 varieties of plants, 26 greenhouses and employs 50 full time gardeners.

The Gardens are located on the site of an old limestone quarry. when the limestone ran. out, the owner, Jennie Butchart transformed this space from 1912 into a beautiful garden haven, overflowing with lush greens and colourful blooms. Today, The Butchart Gardens is a National Historic Site of Canada.

The Gardens have a number of separate gardens, including a Sunken Garden, Japanese Garden, Rose Garden and Italian Garden.

These gardens are world class and should not be missed on any visit to Victoria.
