Charleston South Carolina is a great 2-3 day travel getaway with its charming culture, amazing architecture, historical significance, delicious food scene, thriving nightlife, great shopping, and lovely gardens and parks. I was in Charleston due to a work trip, but decided to tack a couple extra fun days to wander as a tourist, and eat some delicious food, especially BBQ! 2 night was great, 3 nights would've been better. Note that Charleston is very hot and humid in June when I was there, so maybe pick a cooler month to visit, or maybe get a hotel with a pool or add a visit to one of the nearby beaches to cool down.
