Magnus Carlsen shocks Gukesh D with an insane G-pawn attack in the Alekhine's opening in this crazy game from the 2022 Speed Chess Championships! This game is simply insane because Magnus Carlsen has the audacity to attack the future world champion (Gukesh D) right out of the opening with an extremely risky G-pawn attack!

In the game Magnus Carlsen opens with the Alekhine's Opening in response to Gukesh D's 1.e4, and from there Gukesh heads for the 4 pawns attack line against Carlsen's Alekhine's Opening. However, on move 5 Magnus throws a big curveball with the move 5...g5!

From there the game continues to heat up with both Magnus and Gukesh developing and increasing the threats on the opponent's queen. The rest of the game was simply insane, with Magnus Carlsen going into full beast mode in this Alekhine's Opening chess game and ultimately showing why he is the chess GOAT!
