We walk through the TR Editor and Librarian for the Roland TR-8S and TR-6S Rhythm Performers. This standalone software allows you to build and edit your patterns and kits from your computer. You get full access to all menu parameters and hardware controls with a direct connection to the device.

Follow the link to download a backup file for your TR-8S. This backup contains all blank patterns and kits. All kits have had the instruments removed, so it is really a blank slate. Don't worry! All the sounds and tones are still in the machine. You can't get rid of those. If you do not want to lose any of your current patterns and kits, be sure to backup your device before installing the All Blank file. Once the All Blank backup has been installed on your device (by using the Restore function in the Utility Menu, Utility category), you can import your individual patterns and kits from the previous backup file, onto the machine. This function is also found in the Utility menu, Utility category.

If you have any questions, check out my video on updating to 2.0. This walks you through the process of backing up and restoring. If that doesn't help, leave a comment below. Thank you

as a note, the app will kit show the Roland Cloud page, it will show the articles page.

Thanks for watching!!
