The exhibition 'A Life of Drawing. Highlights from the Leighton House Collection' showcases a selection of the most stunning works on paper by artist Frederic Leighton. On display in a newly created gallery space in the museum’s new wing, the exhibition is free to visit and offers a unique opportunity to see up close artworks which have rarely been seen before.

Leighton’s drawings were amongst his most prized possessions and served him as lifelong sources of inspiration. They ultimately became "artworks in their own right", as described by his friend and biographer Emilie Barrington, who preserved many of Leighton’s drawings which are now in the museum’s collection.
