After testing the 1st rear end and finding out the motor does not have enough power to overcome friction with the live axle, I decided to install a differential and differential braking. It turns on a dime and is a fun ride for 1800W (~2.5 HP).

I'll see about posting some drive time once I get an extra camera hand.

Some of the features:
1800W BLDC motor and speed controller
48V 17.6mAh Li-ion battery back with BMS
Open differential with differential steering
Welded steel frame
Front and rear suspension
Ackerman steering
Speedometer and power meter

Soon to have lights and a painted frame.
