FTFE122: 2022 (Repatriation While we wait Part 3) Weekend Getaway from Izmir to Eskişehir Part 1

Spoiler These videos are backlogged, but I wanted to document this part of our journey. We have been in the USA for 100 days now (as of April 1, 2023).

The next set of videos are going to share our process and frustrations of repatriation from Turkey to USA. Thankfully both governments were able to come to an agreement to help us get out of the country - (THANK YOU!). This is just in between time while we waited.

Eight weeks since we were told we could not leave Turkey, we decided to take a last minute quick mini-getaway to a town I’ve been curious about for a while - Eskisehir, Turkey! And of course, following my (Catie) traveling style, we had to stop off at a few more places on the way there and back!

Part 1 is all about our 5 hours drive from Izmir to Eskişehir, stopping off in the towns of Ulubey to see the world's 2nd largest canyon and then Kütahya, famous for it's porcelain.

Part 2 is all about where we stayed and what we saw in the town of Eskişehir!
