"Tomorrow's Coming" Music Video Features Original Song by BYU Students -- A catchy original song, a talented group of Brigham Young University students, and one of the country's great college campuses share the spotlight in a new video produced for 2012 BYU football broadcasts.

The music video for "Tomorrow's Coming"--an upbeat, optimistic song about life's educational journeys--features Mallory Everton, a BYU media arts major. Local composer and performer Spencer Russell wrote and recorded the song, with vocals by Everton.

A Portland, Oregon, native, Everton is known for her work as a performer and writer with the student group Divine Comedy (and the upcoming BYU Broadcasting project "Studio C").

A versatile composer who has written music for several award-winning student film projects, composer Russell will begin his official BYU student career in January.

Since the music video was shot in slow motion, Everton lip synced to a pre-recorded vocal track that was three times regular speed so that her singing would look normal speed on video. For weeks before the shoot, she practiced singing along to a "chipmunk-style" vocal track.

The national spots were produced by BYU University Communications (Julie Walker, producer; Brian Wilcox, photographer; Sarah Butler and Mallory Everton, editors). Special thanks to all of the students and faculty who participated.

The music video, which represents student experiences and opportunities, includes campus scenes that will be familiar to BYU students from the Harold B. Lee Library to the Benson Building, Marriot School, LaVell Edwards Stadium and Y Mountain.
