That day, I was waiting at the intersection for the traffic light. Suddenly, my attention was drawn to two dogs, one large and one small. It was obvious that the bigger dog was the mother of the smaller one. Seeing them, my first reaction was concern, but what happened next surprised me. The two dogs waited for all the cars to come to a complete stop before crossing the road one after the other.
It was an ordinary encounter, one I didn’t think much of at the time, yet it became the beginning of my story with them. The next day, not far from the intersection, I saw the two dogs again.
