Until recently, everything was going great for Josh (Lucas Till): He was pretty much the hottest DJ in New York and his life seemed to be one never-ending night of partying. When he is just 17 years old and is about to land the big coup and sign a lucrative record deal, everything suddenly changes: After an overdose, the court sentences him to spend the rest of his time until he comes of age under the roof of his father Alex (Josh Duhamel). After New York, the small town in North Dakota understandably holds little appeal for Josh at first, but little by little it dawns on him that life in the small town is perhaps not a punishment after all, but an opportunity. Especially when he also meets the pretty Mary (Kherington Payne).
