This concert is a mixture of classical music and son jarocho. The main idea of the composition is to use the classical style (Haydn, Mozart) imitating its structural, harmonic, contrapuntal aspects, orchestration, among others; using as a solo the requintoo jarocho or son guitar. Traditional jarochos themes are used like El Balajú, La Indita, El Gallo, El Siquisirí, Los Pollos, El Aguanieves and Las Poblanas which are treated with a similar development as the composers of the classical period. This composition is the result of the support of FONCA under the Young Creators program 2017-2018.

Rodrigo Lomán
Mexican composer and guitarist. His artistic interest has been to mix traditional Mexican music with classical concert music. In 2017, his Mexican Overture was premiered by the Xalapa Symphony Orchestra, and has been performed by the Philharmonic Orchestra of Mexico City and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Zacatecas, among others. Winner in the II Arturo Márquez Composition Contest 2015 with the work Concert for violin huasteco. In 2017 he received the Honorable Mention of the same contest with the work Flor Oaxaqueña. First prize in the II Ibero-American Composition Contest for children and youth symphonic orchestra Ibermúsicas - Iberorquestas 2017 with the work Danza Andina.

Novus Mundus is an ensemble coordinated by the violinist Antonio Méndez and composed of musicians from the Symphonic Orchestra of Xalapa and various artistic groups of the Universidad Veracruzana. Born with the idea of offering society a proposal that aims to preserve the Interpretation with Historical Criteria of early Music.
