University of Iowa faculty and staff are leading TRACERS (Tandem Reconnection and Cusp Electrodynamics Reconnaissance Satellites), a double-satellite mission, for NASA. This will study the mysterious, powerful interactions between the magnetic fields of the Sun and Earth.
