Maggie Carson is a songwriter, banjo player, and singer born and raised in New York City. She has been touring with old-time Americana band Spirit Family Reunion for a decade: performing at festivals and farms, bars and barns from Northern Maine to Southern California. Notable performances include Central Park SummerStage, Newport Folk Festival, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, Austin City Limits, Celebrate Brooklyn!, NPR Weekend Edition and Tiny Desk.

Maggie now leads her own band, playing original material with a unique and haunting sound. She is currently recording her first solo record.
