Afganistan serisinin bu bölümünde Nuristan bölgesine gidiyoruz. Pakistan’ ın kuzeyinde Chitral eyaletinde Kalaş vadisini ve Kalaş halkını ziyaret etmiştik. O günden bu güne üç yıl geçti ve benim aklımda hep Kalaş vadisine sınır olan Afganistan’ ın Nuristan bölgesi gizemli bir yer olarak kaldı. Ziyaret etmek bugüne nasip oldu.

1890 lara kadar Kafiristan olarak bilinen bu bölge 19. yüzyılın sonunda “demir kral” Abdurrahman’ ın düzenlediği akınlarla İslam dinine ihtida etti ve yeni ismi Nuristan oldu.

In this episode of the Afghanistan series, we go to the Nuristan region. We visited the Kalash valley and the Kalash people in the Chitral province in northern Pakistan. Three years have passed since then, and Afghanistan's Nuristan region, which borders the Kalash valley, has always remained a mysterious place in my mind. I had the chance to visit today.

This region, known as Kafiristan until the 1890s, converted to Islam with the raids organized by the "iron king" Abdurrahman at the end of the 19th century and its new name was Nuristan.

Let's take a closer look at the story of this ancient and beautiful people who have lived freely in the Hindu Kush mountains for thousands of years.
