The Storyline: The Los Angeles Rams finished their 2016 homecoming season with staggering disappointment under Jeff Fisher; following his departure, the Rams organization turn to the youngest head coach in NFL history, Sean McVay, to improve the offense and assist 2nd year quarterback Jared Goff in becoming a franchise quarterback. The defense also transitioned to a 3-4 under defensive coordinator, Wade Phillips. Rams finish the season with an 11-5 winning record and an exponential improvement on offense thanks to key free agent acquisitions: Andrew Whitworth, Robert Woods, John Sullivan and McVay’s tutelage.
