The wind was forecasted to lay down, which makes scouting new water a lot easier.

So that's why I trailered to Southshore Marina to get an early start on some springtime Louisiana speckled trout action.

The day proved to be challenging, but ultimately ended up as a success as I discovered a good shoreline speckled trout were feeding on.
