Tanushree Thapar is a Senior Honors Neuroscience student at Michigan State University. Her involvement at Michigan State University spans leadership roles, including the presidency of the MSU Neuroscience Club and contributions to the university's Honors College through various committees and initiatives.

She is a recipient of the College of Natural Science Dan Bolin Undergraduate Student Award, which is given annually to juniors in recognition of their outstanding leadership qualities, community service and academic ability.

Last summer, she was selected to join the MSU Research Foundation’s Conquer Accelerator Diversity in Entrepreneurship (CADE) internship program East Lansing cohort, collaborating with startup teams to create a more inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Tanushree also serves as a Schaberg Entrepreneurship Scholars Intern at the Burgess Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, where she assists 25 freshmen scholars, helping them perfect their business models, setting a solid foundation for their endeavors as student entrepreneurs.

It is through these activities and her passion for sustainability as well as diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging that Thapar founded Heer Inc., a unique jewelry company, showcasing her entrepreneurial spirit.

Her education includes a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and a minor in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies, reflecting a multidisciplinary approach aimed at leveraging analytical skills for technological advancements and marketing strategies. She has also completed research, summer internships, and held significant positions at companies that underline her skills in market research, team leadership, and program management.
