A quick video showing the process of using the CNC lathe to machine "carrots". Basically a giant screw tap used by drillers for retrieving broken rods down the hole. A multi-stage process that involves both the lathe and mill, the end product is pretty much the biggest tap you'll see - they range from 70-170mm in diameter and get hardened once finished.
