Where else can you see wild vintage racing cars racing up a stately home's driveway? No other place than the VSCC Prescott Hillclimb of 2024, which sees a vast array of Edwardian and Vintage race cars compete for the fastest time up the narrow, twisty and undulating hillclimb course.
The day started with a walkaround of all the competing cars parked up and warming up in the paddock area, where I found many a vintage Bugatti and even got to have a close look at the new ERA GP2 race car, which was on its first shakedown outing at the 2024 VSCC Prescott Speed Hillclimb.
After a quick look at some of the fastest vintage cars making their way up the hill for the morning's test runs, we retreaded to the paddock car park where many a road-going vintage car could be found, with one of my favourites being a simply massive Sunbeam Woodie.
And from then on expect amazing action from the packed entry list of pre-1930 racing cars including drifts, lock-ups, two-wheels moments, hurtling towards the barrier and much more, all accompanied by the unique and gorgeous sounds of the engines and superchargers of yesteryear!
