Previous owner drilled out original mounting holes to install a spare tire mount. Original plastic mounts were too loose so I figured out a work around. Found a good deal on a Bay Window VW Emblem on Ebay of all places. Had it sitting around for about six months and I finally decided to mount it. Came out better than expected. I ended up using Ford Trim mount plastic tabs. Worked out well. Also decided to mount the rear emblem as well. However, it doesn't stand out that well cuz of the peeling paint. I will need to fix that at some point.

I also buff the paint and get rid of the oxidation. I did not polish or wax or seal it so it will fade again soon, maybe six months?
