The Atherton’s history with Five Ten runs deep. Years ago, at a World Cup Cairns, the conditions were incredibly wet and muddy. Halfway down a practice run, Gee realised that the shoes he was wearing wouldn’t cut it in the conditions. He found a member of the public in the crowed with a pair of Five Ten’s flat pedal shoes in his size, went straight back up for his race run and took the world cup win.
