India, Pakistan have agreed to extend the validity of the Agreement on the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor for an additional 5 years. The Agreement, signed on 24 October 2019, facilitated pilgrimages from India to Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur in Pakistan. The New Delhi and Islamabad Agreement's initial validity was five years. The extension will ensure uninterrupted operation of the Kartarpur Corridor for pilgrims visiting the holy site in Pakistan. The Kartarpur Sahib Corridor allows Indian pilgrims to visit Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Narowal, Pakistan. India has urged Pakistan to remove the USD 20 service charge imposed on each pilgrim for every visit. The USD 20 fee has been a point of concern for Indian pilgrims, leading to repeated requests for its removal. The diplomatic engagement between India, Pakistan aims to maintain the religious pilgrimage under this agreement. Sri Kartarpur Sahib falls in Pakistan's Narowal, about 4.5 km from international border near Dera Baba Nanak, Gurdaspur
