Story 1- Three unidentified persons tried to kidnap Margao resident Kunal Raikar at gunpoint in Aquem-Margao. Eyewitnesses told Margao police that the three accused arrived at Aquem and stopped Raikar, who was on his way to drop his child at school at 7.45 am. The accused tried to kidnap Raikar in their car but fled the scene when the local crowd came to his aid.

Story 2-Former Sancoale Sarpanch Premanand Naik has gone on a hunger strike demanding the immediate revocation of the construction licence issued to Bhutani Infra project.
Naik began his agitation with a hunger strike on Monday against the alleged wrong doings of the Sancoale Panchayat and has said that he will not quit the hunger strike till such time that the construction licence issued to Bhutani is revoked by the Sancoale Panchayat.

Story 3- Cattle roaming on streets are picked up and taken to goshalas, however once they are lodged into these goshalas, the process to retrieve the cattle is very hectic.Such is the situation at Siridao.
Dairy farmer says he did not buy his cattle under the government's scheme and is willing to pay the fine, but the process of retrieving this cattle is too hectic. Farmer said he has been to the panchayat so many but the Secretary is not available.

Story 4- The Directorate of Mines & Geology (DMG) has invited online applications from the local community for a grant of sand extraction in River Zuari & Mandovi. The last date of receipt of the application is 30 days from the publication of this advertisement. The grant of permits is subject to the Environmental Clearance of the SEIAA.

Story 5- Bicholim police have registered an FIR against one PE teacher for allegedly outraging the modesty of a minor girl student.
Story 6- Mayem MLA Premendra Shet said that the government has decided to scrap the construction and demolition debris waste treatment plant at Maulinge-Kudchire. He said that the decision has been taken in consultation with Chief Minister Pramod Sawant considering the opposition of the villagers to the plant. 

Story 7- Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that government is determined to ensure that women traffickers do not find refuge in Goa and that victims find protection, justice, and hope.

Story 8- The High Court while hearing a Suo Motu Public Interest Litigation observed that the present penal provision for illegal construction is not detterent. Advocate General Devidas Pangam submitted that PWD, Municipality Engineer and Municipality Inspector have to take strict action against illegal construction. The hearing will continue on Thursday.
