Montanans gathered in the State Capitol Building on March 15 to let legislators know that we don’t want any changes to our Constitution.

Montana’s Constitution has been called a model document by Constitutional scholars due to its forward-thinking protections. The Constitution has protected Montana for 50 years, and we’re looking forward to its protections for years to come.

Speakers include:
Mae Nan Ellingson, 1972 Constitutional Convention Delegate, spoke on Constitutional intent and how the three branches of government will work together.
Jim Nelson, retired Montana Supreme Court Judge spoke about Judicial Power and how the Judiciary has been targeted this session.
Ta’jin Perez, deputy director of Western Native Voice spoke on Voting Rights and how changes in the Legislature can restrict voting access in Montana.
Roger Sullivan, attorney for the Held v Montana case, and Mica K., a youth plaintiff in the case, spoke about how the Right to a Clean & Healthful Environment protects Montana's environment.
Rep. SJ Howell of HD 95 spoke on the Right to Privacy, especially as it pertains to medical decisions, reproductive rights, and bodily autonomy.

Thanks to our emcee: Keegan Medrano, Policy Director of ACLU of Montana.
