Today we step back in time in Nevadaville, a genuine Colorado ghost town high in the rockies.

Just up the hill from Central City is the old ghost town of Nevadaville. There are several original buildings, as well a few old grave sites. Along the hill side above and below town are several historic mines you can view from the road.

All of the historic buildings are on private property and closed to the public. However you can still walk around town the scenic town. Mind where you’re packing your car.

While in town I met a local named Wes who has an extensive knowledge of the region as well as gold mining techniques. I you decide to visit, keep an eye out for him and say hello. He is a wealth of knowledge and stories.
