The newly exposed lime pointed red brick wall in the cottage is in need of repair after damage from an electrical rewire has been uncovered.

A channel in the bricks had been made floor to ceiling to conceal the ring main wires and the wire to the light. As this wall will now be permanently exposed it’s time to replace the damaged bricks and conceal the wires behind the wall instead of in it.

Bricks are carefully removed a small section at a time to avoid causing further damage to the wall and replaced with reclaimed traditional soft red bricks and lime mortar.
