What better way is there to experience the beauty of a place like Scotland than by taking a guided fishing trip!? I (Brian) had the opportunity in September of 2023 to travel to Scotland. While there I had an opportunity to hook up with Peter Smith with Green Highlander for a fly fishing trip on the Ness River. Peter guides for trout and salmon all around the Scotish Highlands. We were targeting salmon in this video. This video was filmed just minutes from downtown Inverness, Scotland. I captured some of the most epic drone footage I have filmed to date in my opinion. No fish were caught in this video but I learned how to Spey cast and the entire experience was one I'll never forget. Peter was a wonderful teacher. I highly recommend looking him up should you want to fish the Scotish Highlands with an exerienced guide!

Get Out Fishing was born out of a long time friendship. Jim and Brian grew up fishing in Tennessee and moved to North Carolina in 1996. North Carolina is a fisherman’s paradise. From central North Carolina where we live, we have access to all kinds of fishing. Saltwater fishing can be done along the coast, and freshwater fishing can be done in various lakes and rivers around the state along with trout fishing in the mountain streams of Western North Carolina. No matter what type of fishing we are doing, we are continually learning and we love to share what we learn about fishing with others. For us, fishing is about community and that is what we hope to create with Get Out Fishing.
