Hey everyone! We’re Vanessa from Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences and Jan from Esslingen University of Applied Sciences in Germany. We’re excited to be in Shanghai for a four-week summer school program at Tongji University, and it’s our first time in China! Together with 100 other German students, we’re exploring this vibrant city.

So far, we’ve visited iconic spots like the Bund, marveling at the stunning skyline, and strolled through the beautiful Yuyuan Garden, amazed by the traditional architecture and the delicious local treats like milk tea and tangbao. Our adventures continued at the Sewing Market, where we discovered affordable, tailor-made suits and clothing. We also enjoyed a lively city walk, experiencing Shanghai's vibrant nightlife, and savored a delightful Chinese hotpot. Follow us to join our Summer Tour of Shanghai!
