Hayley’s terrifying medical emergency came just three months after their fairy tale wedding, and Derek tearfully revealed doctors thought she might not make it. Hayley lost 40 percent of her skull, and Derek stayed by her side through the scary ordeal. She had to learn to walk again, and then last night, she and Derek danced for the world. They spoke to “Extra” afterward about the journey and how it has made them stronger.
