The recent closure of the road overbridge at the Hotel Tragopan junction for rehabilitation has resulted in significant diversions and restrictions in Dimapur, greatly affecting residents and students who rely on public transportation, especially auto rickshaws and two-wheeler taxis. In response, NLTV visited the DDADU office and spoke with the president, who noted that it is currently challenging to set a fixed auto fare due to many two-way streets being converted to one-way. He urged auto drivers to negotiate fares among themselves before picking up passengers and requested that they avoid charging extra. If any driver does impose additional charges, the public is encouraged to report it to the office. He also asked the community and students to exercise patience for a few months until the bridge rehabilitation is completed.
