Virginia & Truckee No. 12 named, "The Genoa", is a 4-4-0 "American” type steam locomotive that was built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in January 1873, for the Virginia and Truckee Railroad. It was restored to its 1902 appearance in 1979 and then became part of the California State Railroad Museum’s collection. On June 16, 2022, the No. 12 was moved from its spot at the CSRM as part of a temporary trade to the Nevada State Railroad Museum, for two years, in exchange for their V&T No. 18, "The Dayton".
