Lord Graham Brady, formerly the Tory MP who told party leaders it was time to resign, has lifted the lid on his time as chairman of the Conservatives’ 1922 Committee.

As chair, Lord Brady was heavily involved in the downfall of three prime ministers. He reveals to ITV News what it was like telling Boris Johnson, Liz Truss and Theresa May their time in Downing Street was up.

The politician, who served as Member of Parliament for Altrincham and Sale West from 1997 to 2024, has released his memoirs in a book titled ‘Kingmaker’.
