Welcome to a new episode of the program "From Farm to Farm," hosted by Jessé Andretta on the Santafé Agroinstituto Channel. In this video, we follow Jessé on a visit to Agropecuaria Schmalz, a farm that is revolutionizing cow milking with robotic milking.

Thanks to technology, Agropecuaria Schmalz is achieving an average of 2.9 milkings per cow, aiming to reach 3 milkings. Additionally, the farm currently produces over 40 liters of milk per cow per day, and since the implementation of robotic milking, the average at the peak of lactation has increased by 7 liters.

During the visit, Jessé interviewed the owner of Agropecuaria Schmalz, Mr. Rodrigo Schmalz, veterinary doctor Andressa Binsfeld, and veterinary doctor Claudio Junior Avrella. The interviewees demonstrated the robotic milking in operation, explained how they formulate diets for dairy cows, and also how they manage the animals.

With robotic milking, Agropecuaria Schmalz has managed to optimize time and employee workload, in addition to providing greater well-being to the animals, which can be milked at any time of the day or night. The visit was an incredible experience full of learning about milk production on a modern and technological farm.
