Gautamiputra Satakarni (transl. Satakarni, son of Gautami) is a 2017 Indian Telugu-language epic historical action film written and directed by Krish.
Gautamiputra Satakarni, a 2nd-century CE Satavahana ruler, aims to unite 32 kingdoms in India to establish peace. After 18 years of battles, he succeeds, marries Vasishti, and has a son named Pulumavi. Facing a powerful enemy, Nahapana, Satakarni strategizes with his son. After victory, he returns to Amaravathi and creates a powerful sword from 32 swords, impressing everyone but causing conflicts with his wife. During a grand ritual, Vasishti understands his virtue and agrees to stay. Satakarni renames himself and his son. Kanjira betrays, but Balasri protects Satakarni. In the final battle against Demetrius, Satakarni triumphs, preserving India's unity.
