After building a foam bench for one side of my truck camper, I wanted to have a storage system with a countertop on the other side. While we considered building this out of foam also, ultimately, we elected to work with 1/4 inch plywood instead.

The 1/4 inch plywood was narrower and held screws better. With budget in mind, I bought a new sheet of 1/4 inch plywood and then used materials we already had in the shop. The result is a 21.6-pound countertop/storage unit.
