Deux Danses, Opus 73 (1914) I - Guirlandes II - Flammes sombres (3:23) A curious and intoxicating pair. These are studies for the Mysterium; Scriabin was envisioning a dance of all the peoples of the world together, enraptured, enivrated and intoxicated by the swirling sounds. Dark/Somber flames is a theosophical reference.
This performance was created (by human me!) on a digital keyboard (slowly!), then edited (lots!) and mastered in Digital Performer 5.13 (MOTU) using Ivory (Synthogy) sound banks.
