বঙ্গোপসাগরে সৃষ্ট প্রবল ঘূর্ণিঝড় দানা আজ মধ্যরাতে উপকূল অতিক্রম করতে পারে। উত্তর পশ্চিম দিকে অগ্রসর হয়ে ভারতের ওড়িশার ভূবনেশ্বর ও পুরির উপকূলে আঘাত হানতে পারে। বৃহস্পতিবার আবহাওয়া অধিদপ্তরের বিশেষ বুলেটিনে জানানো হয় ,বাংলাদেশে ঘূর্ণিঝড়ের খুব বেশি প্রভাব পড়বে না। ভারি বৃষ্টিসহ দমকা হাওয়া বয়ে যেতে পারে। ১৫ জেলায় দুই থেকে তিন ফুট জলোচ্ছ্বাসে প্লাবিত হতে পারে নিম্নাঞ্চল।
Cyclone Dana formed in the Bay of Bengal is likely to cross the coast by midnight today. It may hit the coast of Bhubaneswar and Puri in Odisha, India moving in northwest direction. According to the special bulletin of the Meteorological Department on Thursday, the cyclone will not have much impact in Bangladesh. Gusty winds may blow with heavy rain. Low-lying areas may be inundated by two to three feet of flood in 15 districts.
