I went to Water Orton just after lunchtime and noticed no Crosscountry trains were going east, and that a freight train had failed just up the line at Daw Mill.
It had failed at about 10.50 working 4O38 Lawley St FT to Southampton MCT with 70005.
A few XC trains got diverted via Tamworth and others were cancelled.
