Swamp Thing's (Dick Durock) supposedly reincarnate wife Linda (Martha Smith) is revealed to be a doppelganger who is working with the evil Doctor Anton Arcane (Mark Lindsay Chapman) in order to take down the titular creature.

From Swamp Thing Season 1 Episode 2 "The Living Image": Arcane uses a look-alike of Linda to get the formula.

Swamp Thing (1990 - 1993): Alec Holland and his wife Linda invents a bio-restorative formula to solve any nations' food shortage problems but due to an explosion, Alec gets drenched in the formula, turning into a swamp monster.
