Unter dem Stichwort 'Euro Nymphing' hat das Nymphenfischen in den letzten Jahren sehr stark an Popularität gewonnen. Parallel zu einer Vielzahl neuer Präsentationstechniken (Czech Nymphing, French Nymphing, Spanish Nymphing etc.) sind auch eine Vielzahl neuer Nymphenmuster entstanden und Bindematerialien neu entwickelt oder neu interpretiert worden. Insbesondere Jig Haken und Tungstenperlen haben dabei die moderne Nymphenfischerei maßgeblich geprägt. Dadurch ist es möglich, schlanke Nymphen dicht am Grund anzubieten - auch in schneller Strömung.

In diesem Bindevideo zeigt euch Alexander Keus (Autor von 'Nymphenfischen - Geheimnisse entlarvt') zwei Interpretationen der klassischen Pheasant Tail Nymphe bzw. Fasanenschwanznymphe. Den 'UV2 Pheasant Tail Jig' und den 'Glo Brite Pheasant Tail Jig'. Dabei geht er auf die Besonderheiten der Bindeweise ein und die Vorteile dieser Muster für die Praxis am Wasser. Beide Muster können in einer Vielzahl unterschiedlicher Varianten und Farben gebunden werden und haben ihre Fängigkeit überall in Europa und den USA unter Beweis gestellt.

'Euro Nymphing' has become a very popular term amongs fly fishers all across the globe during the last couple of years. At the same time as these different tight line nymphing techniques (e.g. Czech Nymphing, French Nymphing, Spanish Nymphing etc.) evolved, new flies and new interpretations of classic nymph patterns arose too. Due to new tying materials like jig hooks and tungsten beads it is finally possible to present small flies in fast current to Trout and Grayling feeding close to the bottom. A big advantage on many rivers!

In this tying video Alexander Keus (author of 'Nymphenfischen - Geheimnisse entlarvt') is talking about these modern nymph patterns and shows to variations of the classic Pheasant Tail Nymph: The 'UV2 Pheasant Tail Jig' and the 'Glo Brite Pheasant Tail Jig'.
