Oscar Albeiro Figueroa Mosquera is a Colombian weightlifter who competes in the 62 kg class. At the 2004 Olympic Games, he finished fifth in the 56 kg class with a total of 280 kg. In 2008 in Beijing, he struggled with a serious injury that prevented him from achieving a result. After a successful operation, he returned in 2012, set an Olympic record of 177 kg in the clean and jerk and won silver. He finally won gold in Rio in 2016 with a total of 318 kg and then retired from the sport by symbolically taking off his shoes and placing them on the platform. π
